3 Strikes Revisited

I am still for three strikes.

Exhibit A.

Oh, and here's to May 5th and my shortest blog post ever.

Back in the day a boy like Hill would be whooped upside the head by at least two grandmas or be sent over to Nam. The good thing about the draft was that everyone learned themselves some discipline.

Or in the case of our current and recent leaders, they learned how to flee the country, get deferments, or hide in Texas.

Pachino is way beyond the "troubled" kid that is straightened out by the military at this point. He helped a kid kill someone, he shot a guy in the leg, and he shot at (and missed) a cop. And he's continually given probation. Don't all of us know someone who got a few days in jail for various smaller crimes? It almost makes me wonder if he has a threat out on judges or something.

The Judge here is actually a new one who very quickly earned a reputation as being tough. Really. She is known for revoking a person's probation if they come back and fail to comply with her order. She is tougher than any previous judge in her position. She is getting a bad rap from the losers at the QC Times. Once again - Mark Ridolfi proves to publish inaccurate and lopsided information in his editorials. Surprised? He is a horrible reporter who more time then not, fails to land on the correct side of the story because he is too lazy to explore the actual facts.

So, Dalton took a chance, but she often puts people in jail for less. There was actually complaints about her putting too many people in jail because we cannot afford to do so because the incarceration budget isn't high enough to support her enforcement of the law.

You all need to actually look into the problems we face. We want law enforcement but we don't want to pay for it.

Pachino Hill may be a repeat offender, but what he was charged with recently was a misdemeanor and the punishment for his crime was not going to be jail anyway.

Or in Pachino Hill's case maybe we could make it 75 strikes. Maybe it has to do with what ethnic group you are from?

Who were the 3 Alderman that fought for the 3 strikes? Ambrose, Lynn and Hammerlinck?

I looked into it and yes. It was these three Ambrose, Lynn and Hammerlinck who are trying to have us protected better.
